Pervin - yoga retreats

"Friendliness toward the happy, compassion for the unhappy,
delight in the virtuous, and indifference toward those who err
allows the mind to remain naturally tranquil."
Patanjali Yoga Sutras 1.33

FLOWING YOGAholiday

“In laughter and joy we transcend our predicaments” Alan Klein.

For Pervin, yoga is first and foremost the discipline of conscious, compassionate living. It is a path towards healing and transformation. She encourages people to take charge of their lives and tap into their inner potential for happiness. She honours everyone’s level of practice and steers people towards the next challenge.

Pervin is a compassionate, caring and intuitive teacher with a sense of fun and a readiness to improvise. As an older woman who has passed the age of 20 many years ago she is happy to set an example of the vibrant taking on of years through her yoga and her love of life by still being bendy, energetic, enthusiastic and beautiful (including the patina of time).

In the morning practice during this yoga retreat you will be doing inversions, balances, twists, back-bends with the addition of meditation, pranayama and relaxation. Some challenging postures will be included, not too hard and not too easy, to keep the practice fun and fascinating. As you overcome these challenges you will give your confidence a boost and you might start wondering what other impossibilities you might overcome in other areas of your life.

Before she discovered yoga, Pervin’s background was in Fine Art ceramics and language teaching in schools for 10 years. Her compassionate nature guided her to a remote corner of the Mediterranean where she has created a lovely garden with a fabulous yoga terrace. She shares this special place with yogis and yoginis, and her happy, divine rescued dogs. She divides her time between London and Turkey.  With her partner, Michael, she has been organizing these yoga holidays and retreats in Turkey since the 90's.

Pervin, Amber - yoga holidays

Pervin has worked with great teachers such as Ana Forrest, David Swenson, David Roche, Doug Keller, Dharma Mitra and teachers of Jivamukti and Okido yoga and is very grateful to them. She has done teacher training with Ana Forrest and now her practice is inspired by Forrest yoga. She is a registered teacher with the Yoga Alliance UK.
